Composition:
Each 100 ml contains: Florfenicol   10 gm.

Properties:
Florfenicol is a thiamphenicol derivative with the same mechanism of action as chloramphenicol. It acts by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis. However, it is more active than either broad spectrum of antibacterial activity that includes all organisms sensitive to chloramphenicol, gram-negative bacilli, gram-positive cocci and other atypical bacteria such as mycoplasma. Florfenicol is highly lipophilic, which provides high enough concentrations to treat intracellular pathogens and cross some anatomical barriers.

Indications:
Medphenicol is indicated for the treatment of colibacillosis in broiler chickens caused by E.coli strains.

Target Species:
Broilers chickens.

Dosage and Administration:
Route of Administration: Orally via drinking water.
1ml of Medphenicol per 5 kg b.wt for 5 days.

 Adverse Reactions:
Long term use of Medphenicol may cause bone marrow suppression

Withdrawal Time:
– 5 days
-Not for use in chickens from which eggs are produced for human consumption.

Storage conditions:
Store at temperature not exceeding 30 °C.
